Coffee for Peace
investors, before joining us, have to agree that 25% of their
net profit will be donated to Peacebuilders
Community, Inc. This money will be used to support our Peace
and Reconciliation Teams (PAR Teams) who are being trained to be
agents of peace and reconciliation in their respective
communities.
The PAR Teams are composed of local volunteers from
conflict-affected communities who are partnered with
international volunteers. They are jointly trained in
Fact-Finding Missions, Relief & Medical Operations, Peace Education,
Justice Advocacy, Inter-Faith Dialogue, Cross-Cultural
Communications, Conflict Transformation, Media Relations, Trauma
Healing, Personal Growth & Development.
The mission objectives of the PAR Teams are:

To promote lasting peace in the Philippines by
giving skilled, courageous support to peacemakers working in
situations of conflict;

To inspire various parties-in-conflict to discard
violence in favor of nonviolent action as a means of
settling differences;

To provide communities with first-hand information
and resources for responding to situations of conflict, and to
urge their active involvement; and,
::
To interpret a nonviolent perspective to the media
and broader Philippine society.
