I’M HAPPY TO SEE THE LAUNCHING OF KAPEHAN SA DAVAO NETWORK’S INCUBATION PROGRAM
Last 06-07 July 2023, the Kapehan Sa Davao Network launched the Social Impact Business Incubation Program (SIBIP) for eight coffee enterprises in Region 11. It was held at Coffee For Peace Café in Davao City. I’m so inspired by the enthusiastic participation of Kape Ora, Kepeweñoz Specialty Coffee, Peding’s Café, Kape Maddiger, Gré Coffee, Tres Rosas Coffee Farm, Tribung Kape, and Kapeyapaan Farmers’ Association. These Incubation Sessions were facilitated by Upgrade Innolab Inc. This program is funded by Asian Development Bank’s SUNPh Program, to whom I and the whole Kapehan Sa Davao Network are grateful. I look forward to seeing the positive impact that the SIBIP will have on the coffee industry in the provinces of the Greater Davao Region.
As the Program Leader of the Kapehan Sa Davao Social Incubation Project, I am delighted to announce the successful launch of our first cohort of eight coffee enterprises in the Greater Davao Region (Region 11 of the Philippines). This happened last 06-07 July 2023 at the Coffee for Peace Café, One Oasis, Davao City. This is a major milestone for our project, which aims to provide early-stage coffee businesses with the support they need to grow and scale up their operations.
The Social Impact Business Incubation Program (SIBIP) is a 6-month customized and needs-based intervention that offers a wide range of support for entrepreneurs, including technical assistance, capacity-building, market access, mentoring, and networking. The program is designed to address the common major challenges and gaps experienced by coffee entrepreneurs, such as access to finance, marketing, and product development.
I am confident that the SIBIP will be a valuable resource for our cohort of entrepreneurs. They have already shown great potential, and I am excited to see what they can achieve with the support of the program.
I would like to thank Upgrade Innolab Incorporated for their partnership in this project. Their expertise and experience in business incubation will be invaluable to our cohort of entrepreneurs.
On behalf of all the participating coffee enterprises, I also like to express my gratitude to the Asian Development Bank’s SUN-PH Program, for funding this endeavor.
Congratulations to all the participating coffee farmers and enterprises for their commitment to the Kapehan Sa Davao Network. I am confident that they will make the most of this opportunity and emerge as successful business owners.
I look forward to seeing the positive impact that the SIBIP will have on the coffee industry in the provinces of the Greater Davao Region – Davao City, Davao de Oro, Davao del Sure, Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental, and Davao Occidental. I believe that this program has the potential to help coffee entrepreneurs grow their businesses and create jobs in the region.
